Dermatology

Wessex Veterinary Orthopaedics is now
accepting dermatology referrals.

Harry Scott runs the new Wessex Veterinary Dermatology referral service.

Harry has returned to his roots as one of the first veterinary surgeons in the UK to be awarded the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Dermatology (Cert SAD). Harry subsequently gained more than 10 years of experience with small animal dermatology referral cases, working alongside a specialist veterinary dermatologist in a busy referral clinic in the Midlands.

We offer competitively priced services that meet the same high standards as our core orthopaedic and spinal surgery referral service. Wessex Veterinary Dermatology accepts referrals in all aspects of dermatology, including:

  • Allergic dermatitis
  • Alopecia
  • Autoimmune and immune-mediated diseases
  • Claw diseases
  • Ectoparasitosis
  • Endocrinopathies
  • Neoplastic and paraneoplastic skin diseases
  • Keratinisation disorders
  • Otitis
  • Pododermatitis
  • Recurrent or unresponsive pyoderma

An initial consultation costs £250 and lasts up to 60 minutes. Subsequent investigations may include a range of tests, including cytology, allergy testing, culture and sensitivity, punch and excisional biopsies, video otoscopy, and CT scans.

Our dermatology fees are very competitive and totally transparent. For a guide to our prices, click here.
