Spinal Surgery

Harry was among a team of surgeons that pioneered hemilaminectomy during the 1990s and authored some of the early literature regarding this approach to thoracolumbar intervertebral disc disease*. Harry holds the ECVN (European College of Veterinary Neurology) Diploma and both Phil and Harry have extensive experience and interest in spinal surgery, including cervical ventral slot, thoracolumbar hemilaminectomy and lumbosacral laminectomy/ foraminotomy/ stabilisation. Our knowledge and understanding of fracture fixation also gives us an advantage when applying implants to the spine for stabilisation and fracture/luxation fixation†.

We were among the first to offer a guarantee to cover the costs of complications (T&Cs apply) when we worked together at another centre and we are pleased to offer this peace-of-mind at Wessex Veterinary Orthopaedics.
