Once we have received a request for referral from your own general practice (GP) vet we will contact you to arrange an appointment. We do not have long waiting lists for routine cases and urgent cases can usually be seen the same day. If your appointment is non-urgent we will send you an information pack ahead of time so that you have time to read through the information before your visit.
We will ask your GP vet to send us a copy of your pet’s history and results of any tests or X-rays that have already been performed.
Please bring any current medication with you and if your pet is on a specific diet please bring some with you. However, because of the risk of infection please note that we do not accept raw diets in the clinic.
If your pet is lame (limping), especially if the lameness is mild or only present at certain times, it can be very helpful if can use your mobile phone to film the lameness during a walk and bring this with you to your appointment.
The practice is very easy to find on the main A35 trunk road between Poole and Bournemouth. We provide ample free off-road parking immediately in front of the clinic. Please try to arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment to allow time for checking in. Free hot beverages and toilet facilities are available in the reception area.
We will call you in as soon as the vet is ready. An initial consultation typically lasts for 30 minutes for orthopaedics and 60 minutes for dermatology to allow for a thorough discussion of your pet’s condition and treatment options. We are usually able to perform further investigations and/or surgery the same day if required.
Please do not to feed your pet on the day of your appointment in case we need to administer sedation or anaesthesia. Water can be provided as usual up to the time of your visit.
All-inclusive fixed prices and surgical guarantees for all procedures.
